Plas Dolguog Hotel is licensed as a venue for civil wedding ceremonies; therefore allowing you to take advantage of all that Plas Dolguog has to offer by celebrating your special day in one superb venue.
 

Cu Og's Function Room, informal layout to seat 80 guests
The large Cu Og's Function Room with a seating capacity of 130 guests in a formal layout, and 100 in a more informal arrangement, will ensure that you miss none of the surrounding beauty, which can provide a stunning backdrop for your photographs. An evening celebration with finger buffet can accommodate 190 guests.

We are more than happy to tailor menus to your specific tastes. A variety of vegetarian dishes can be created for guests who prefer, and children’s meals are provided. We take pride in creating individual events for each occasion.



Civil Ceremony room arrangement Civil Wedding Ceremony

The Ceremony can take place at Plas Dolguog Hotel between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm and can be conducted in either the cosy Dolguog Lounge, or Cu Og's Function Room opening out onto large lawns and a Dyfi Valley view.






Guest Numbers

For the ceremony each of the rooms will hold the following number of guests
  Dolguog Lounge 30
  Conservatory 130

On making your booking with us, you will also need to contact the registrar at Machynlleth Register Office to check whether the date and time you require is available (Tel: 01654 703911). Both the Registrar and the hotel will accept bookings up to 12 months in advance.

Points to consider

- A Civil Marriage is a Public Ceremony and it is a legal requirement that any member of the public who wishes to attend the marriage may do so.
- The bride and groom must agree the content of the Ceremony with the Sperintendant Registrar in advance. Any music, reading, words or performance forming any part of the Ceremony must be secular.
- Music may be allowed in the Marriage Room (with the Superintendant Registrar's consent). The hotel would be pleased to help arrange live music such as a string quartet or harpist if desired.
